What is Metta?"The primary aim of yoga is to restore the mind to simplicity, peace, and poise, to free it from confusion and distress. This simplicity, this sense of order and calm, comes from the practice of postures and breath work."
B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga

Metta, from the ancient language of Pali, translates into English as loving kindness, generosity, fellowship, peace and harmony. Metta is a strong and unselfish wish for the well being and happiness of others, and evokes within a warm-hearted feeling of compassion and all-embracing love that grows boundless with practice and overcomes all barriers. It is in this spirit that Metta Yoga Studio exists today as the outward expression of the devotion and passion we have for the practice of yoga, and the way in which it is our desire to bring this life-transforming practice to others.
May all be filled with loving kindness
May all be well
May all be compassionate
May all be peaceful and at ease
May all be happy![]()
