What to Expect at a Metta Yoga Studio Class
At the Metta Yoga Studio, every class begins with a few quiet minutes for calming the mind and bringing focus to the practice. A brief warm-up time follows, progressing into the main poses comprising the body of the class, and closes in a relaxation period, which allows the body to more fully integrate the benefits of the practice.

We practice in bare feet, preferably on an empty stomach, and in semi-fitted clothing that allows for ease of movement. Baggy pants and shirts have a tendency to interfere with movement and can obstruct the view of knees, ankles, hips, shoulders, elbows and other areas that are important to be able to see when checking for alignment.

What to Bring With You
If you have your own mat and water bottle, you may wish to bring those with you. We have a limited supply of mats and straps, as well as blankets, bolsters, blocks and water.
